Hmm. I'm not very good at plotting, but try to endure through this. So, Ritia here isn't exactly the most extroverted of people, and while she does get plenty of opportunities to socialize, she isn't one to grab at them. She and Vulcan don't have many similarities, but, where he's witty and sarcastic, Varitia has her own way with words, and they seem to me like a pair who could carry out at least somewhat amusing banter. Their outlooks on life in general – from what I gathered, at least – are immensely different. Ritia would rather get down on her knees and apologize than anger someone, but she's not one to be walked all over, either. I think, should they meet, they could have a reasonably interesting contrast.

Since Vulcan likely travels a lot to fulfill contracts and Varitia is always running around delivering letters and parcels, they could have crossed paths more than once and just decided to start talking one day. Maybe? Or, if you have other ideas, feel free to add on. That's about all I can offer right now, though.
